Haytham ElZayn, President
Haythem ElZayn is an expert in developing innovative, profitable service contracts, with more than two decades of experience in the insurance industry. His work with Farmers' Insurance Group, Nationwide Insurance, Centre Reinsurance and William M. Mercer established him as a prominent leader in the service contract industry, with expertise in actuarial pricing, loss reserving, state filings support, underwriting, loss control, reinsurance and warranty products in the global insurance market. Haytham ElZayn hold a M.S. in Applied Mathematics from Oregon State University, is licensed in the State of Ohio as a Reinsurance Intermediary Manager, and has completed four Casualty Actuarial Society examinations.
Paul Miles, Actuary
Paul holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from the University of Maryland, has completed five of the Casualty Actuarial Society examinations, and has over twelve years of experience in the actuarial field. Paul's experience at the United States Fidelity & Guaranty Company, Nationwide Insurance, Beacon Insurance Company and Risk Consultants & Actuaries includes actuarial pricing, loss reserve analysis, state filings support, and data systems coordination for Workers' Compensation, commercial lines products, service contracts, and mechanical breakdown insurance.
Kenneth Hilliard, Vice President of Risk Management & Product Development
Ken serves a key role in assuring NASC administers all programs as efficiently as possible. He is the director of our product development and has been involved in developing claim, premium, and retrospective payment processing software. He also has more than 18 years of automotive warranty specialization and claims processing experience with national warranty and administrator companies. He holds various ASE and manufacturer technical certifications.
Kevin Parrish, Agent Support Coordinator
Kevin has more than a decade of operations center management experience and works with our Claims and Administration Departments to resolve all issues related to customer satisfaction. He also is the training facilitator for company-wide customer service program. Kevin has three years of experience in the vehicle service contract industry. Previously he worked for Verizon Wireless as manager of a operation center that resolved customer quality complaints for 78 sales and service centers throughout Ohio and Michigan. During his tenure there, he helped improve productivity and reduce overall cost per activity by 28%.
Michelle DeFouw, Vice President
Michelle has served a role in virtually every department within our company and is integral to the overall direction and achievements of our company. She has worked for the company for 9 years. In her current role, Michelle oversees all marketing and promotional activities, as well as day-to-day operations and strategic planning. Michelle's unique understanding of the needs of our company make her a valued resource to all members of our management team. She also may be the best golfer in the company.
Phyllis Schoenman - Controller
Phyllis has more than 30 years of experience in corporate accounting - 5 years in the service contract industry and 28 years before that at Ashland Chemical. While at Ashland she worked in Consolidation & Staff Accounting as well as Property & Asset Accounting, her area of expertise.
Jim Adams - Claims Manager
Jim has worked in nearly every capacity of the auto industry over the last 37 years. For the last 6 years, Jim has been Claims Manager at NASC. Before joining us, he spent 20 years as a service advisor, asst. service manager and service manager at both the dealership and independent level. He began his career as a salesman and service advisor during the first 10 years.
